ALL ANGELS FLY, OURS STAY GROUNDED
Born from Pirelli’s sport touring radial heritage, ANGEL™ Scooter II brings premium motorcycle technology to the scooter segment. Designed to deliver excellent performance in both dry and wet conditions, it introduces for the first time a compound engineered to reduce rolling resistance, enhancing energy efficiency. This innovation makes it ideal for urban mobility and electric scooters, combining sporty handling, everyday practicality, and a distinctive exterior design that reflects Pirelli’s premium styling.
Features:
- Directly developed from Pirelli know-how in the sport touring radial segment.
- Improved rolling efficiency, for reduced fuel consumption and extended battery range.
- Excellent performance on wet.
- Better wear uniformity, thanks to the evolved tread pattern.
- Distinctive sidewall appearance thanks to the high contrast technology.
Improved rolling efficiency
For the first time in a scooter product, Pirelli introduces its Cap & Base compound technology. The base layer of ANGEL™ Scooter II is engineered with low hysteresis to reduce energy loss during deformation. This results in lower rolling resistance, improving fuel economy and extending battery range for electric scooters.
Excellent performance on wet
Thanks to a silica-rich compound and a tread pattern inspired by ANGEL™ GT II, ANGEL™ Scooter II ensures confident grip and braking on wet surfaces. Twin longitudinal grooves and angled lateral cuts optimize water evacuation and contact on slippery surfaces.
Better wear uniformity
The evolved tread design combines longitudinal and lateral grooves with interlocking sipes to balance contact pressure and reduce irregular wear. This ensures consistent performance and even wear throughout the entire tyre life, even under demanding urban conditions.
Compound
ANGEL™ Scooter II features a newly developed compound blend that includes a modern plasticizing oil for improved softness at low temperatures and a simplified resin system that enhances flexibility while maintaining dry grip. These innovations ensure consistent performance across a wide temperature range. Additionally, for the first time in a scooter product, Pirelli introduces Cap & Base compound technology: the silica-rich Cap layer ensures grip and wet performance, while the low-hysteresis Base layer improves rolling efficiency and mechanical support.
Dampening dots
Strategically placed between the main grooves, the dampening dots locally modulate tread stiffness under the contact patch. This improves road conformity, reduces vibrations, and enhances braking by increasing the rubber-to-ground area during deceleration. The result is a smoother, safer ride—especially on uneven or slippery urban surface.
Sipes
Inspired by sport touring radial tyres, the sipes on ANGEL™ Scooter II are fine incisions that increase the number of biting edges, enhancing grip and feedback—especially at low speeds or in wet conditions. They also support compound flexibility, helping the tread adapt to asphalt micro-textures for a more stable and confident ride.
